Beka Vande Velde

Coach Beka currently lives in San Antonio, Texas and is the former Head Fencing Coach at Baylor University. She is also the former coach of the Heart of Texas Fencing Club in Midway (Waco) which was a home school fencing club started by her and Coach Murray over 15 years ago. She comes to us with a lot of experience. Coach Beka currently is on hiatus and recently received her rating and certification as a fencing referee, with a level 8 in Foil, and a level 9 in Epee.

GARY L. MURRAY SR.
Coach Murray received his Prevot d' Armes Certification from the FIE/USFA in 2009.
He is currently pursuing his Masters Certification in Foil, Epee and Sabre
He has been coaching and competing for 40+ years. Founded Round Rock Fencing Club
July 1, 1986. Head Coach at Southwestern University for just over 32 years.
He has been nationally ranked in Foil, Epee and Sabre. He was honored as the USFCA 2000 South Region Coach of the year.
He and his wife will be celebrating their
52nd Anniversary on April 26th, 2020.

Coach Simon has been with the RRFC for just over four years coming from another Austin area club. He is the Club Sabre Coach. He is currently enrolled in the
Texas A&M Computer Science program at the Texas A&M Round Rock Campus.
